This article strikes a common problems that non-scientists or alike are still facing today.  There are so many terms or jargon among scientific community that might not be applicable towards the general public.  So, if your audience is such that you should use terms that can be communicative towards the target cohorts.  Similarly, in the technology field and even among engineers the terms can be confusing at time since some of the technologies are new and the so called scholars and industry leaders are still battling over terminologies!  This is still happening in the high tech sectors today.
